First and foremost, thank you for taking some time to prioritize your skin. It’s the largest organ in the body and it deserves your attention.

Not sure where to start? Let’s start with products… keep your skincare regime simple. Sticking to this basic regime will set you on the right path! But… there is a catch. It needs to be medical grade product. Medical grade product contains higher levels of active ingredients, so it actually works. What makes it medical grade? You typically must be under the supervision of a healthcare professional to use it.

Your regime should look like this:

am: cleanser, serum, SPF

pm: cleanser, serum/retinol, moisturizer.

That’s it!

5 products are all you need to take care of your skin!

Cleanser: You need something medical grade that suits your skin type

Serum: This is the workhorse of your skincare regime. Every day it’s doing a job and helping your skin. Pick a serum that addresses your skins needs (eg: anti-acne serum, anti-redness serum, anti-oil serum, anti-aging serum)

Retinol: This magical anti-aging product increases cell turnover so helps with wrinkles, pigment issues and breakouts. It can be tricky to use. Don’t fear it, we can help you introduce it and get all the benefits.

Moisturizer: Again, you need something medical grade that suits your skin type

SPF: THE MOST IMPORTANT PRODUCT!!! Use it every day, all year round.

Next thing is treatments. Let me ask you a question… you make your bed all the time but is it important to change the sheets? Of course, it is!

That’s why you need to come into the clinic for medical grade skincare cleaning treatments.

Your products can only do so much. Sometimes you need a deep clean.

Examples of great cleaning treatments are facials, microdermabrasion, hydrafacial, chemical peels and oxygen facials.

Now we must talk about anti-aging. I hate to break it to you, but your skin is getting older. It’s ok, mine is too.

You have a lot of options to help. Let’s start with skin. Microneedling is a skin treatment that stimulates collagen production. It has a scary name but its not painful at all. There are multiple different microneedling based treatments to explore. We can help you work through them and decide which is best for you. You need to start restoring some of your lost collagen. The collagen drinks the nice lady at the health food store sold you, or the collagen supplements that were on sale at Costco just wont cut it. (Don’t shoot the messenger!)

Next stop your injectable options:

Botox: Ugh Botox! Yes, I know it sounds scary but its safer than Tylenol. When used appropriately it is a great anti-aging wrinkle prevention treatment.

Filler: Again, super scary! I promise you wont look like the real housewives of Mars. A sprinkling of hylarunoic acid filler can help with volume loss. Sculptra/Radiesse: An alternative to filler for volume loss

Threadlift: If the lines are getting deeper and you’re starting to see jowls it might be time to learn about the benefits of a non-surgical facelift.

Now... If you have a medical skin condition (like acne, hyperpigmentation, or rosacea) this quiz will help a little but you need to come and see us at Skintology so we can design a customized treatment plan for you.

Yikes that was a lot! Are you feeling overwhelmed? Or would you just like to chat about your skin goals? Our consultations are free, it will only cost you your time.

I can’t wait to meet you!
